Hamilton College sponsors 28 intercollegiate varsity teams, 14 for men and 14 for women. The Continentals compete at the NCAA Division III level and are members of the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC). NESCAC members include Amherst, Bates, Bowdoin, Colby, Connecticut College, Middlebury, Trinity, Tufts, Wesleyan and Williams. Hamilton is also a member of the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC).
